Pearl is our five year old Golden Retriever, who rules our lives. She is sooo beautiful. People stop cars in the street to tell us that she is the most beautiful dog that they have ever seen! She is beautiful inside too.

Always a favorite.......SUNFLOWERS
Today I worked on sunflowers. They always seem to be a favorite subject of mine. I fell in love with them after our trip to Paris. Visiting Giverny for the first time, I left Wayne in a small cafe while I ambled through Monet's beautiful gardens. Time passed me by! I walked and looked for hours. I was not aware of anything but the beauty around me. It had even begun to snow......I was truly alone in a special place. Upon arriving back at the cafe....hours and hours later than I was expected to, I cried and apologized to Wayne for his long, long wait it a dark French cafe with only a book and an expensive cup of coffee for company. Amazingly, he was not upset. Across from his small table, back lit by an ornate window, was a huge vase of the most beautiful sunflowers. They looked like a Van Gogh painting! Wayne laughingly said he would forgive me if I would buy him some sunflowers for his upcoming birthday. I bought the flowers on our return to the States. I have loved them ever since. We buy a bunch every week at our local Farmer's Market.

Just Cows
I decided to paint the cows we saw outside of Gold Beach, Oregon......They made me smile then, and I'm smiling now!
